Rubh'an eun Whisky Tasting

Rubh'an eun, our first Blended Scotch Whisky, is coming soon. Book your place now for one of our first guided tastings.

Rubh'an eun is pronounced Roo-an-ee-un, Gaelic for "Point of the Birds."

Our tasting begins with three pours to guide your palate before you taste the whisky. The two gins are distilled specially for this tasting to bring out key flavours and are only available here, and the Amontillado sherry is chosen to sit alongside them. Each pour points you to a flavour you'll find again in Rubh'an eun, so by the final glass you'll know where it comes from and how we made it.

• Friday 4 December, 2.30pm to 3.15pm

Each session is limited to 10 people.

The tasting

1. Distilled Berry Gin. Bright, ripe fruit. A first look at the plum and red fruit notes in the whisky.
2. Oaked Gin. What time in wood does to a spirit: vanilla, warmth and gentle spice.
3. Amontillado Sherry. What a sherry cask brings: dried fruit, nuttiness and dark chocolate.
4. Rubh'an eun, Blended Scotch Whisky. Heather and honey, plums, dark chocolate and warming baking spice, with a hint of coastal salt.
